MDL always wants to connect with the students and their parents. For this, we had a Mobile App. It helps in building connection between school and the parent, where all information acquired related to child’s fees, class activity, attendance, homework, etc. is all available on just a click. The Students App is a revolutionary mobile communication tool between a school, its students and their parents which helps keep the parents informed, happy and impressed.

MDL encourages collaboration and scaffolding between learners. Tomake connections between new concepts and existing ones through experiences. Experiential learning is basically the process of learning through experiences, new topics are introduced to students through variety of activities. It encourages students to come out of their comfort zone and think out of the box. It makes classroom and students learn by different hands on activityrather than observing the demonstrative behaviour of a teacher.

E-learning is accorded top priority. This helps students schooling with us to be better equipped to meet the challenges of modern day living. Smart Boards have been installed in classes so that teachers can supplement the classroom teaching with audio visual display systems which help children learn much faster. Such learning through audio visual aids is better absorbed, since abstract concepts are given particular shapes & colours.

MDL has a Science Lab which is well-stocked with sufficient chemicals, specimens and instruments so that every student gets the opportunity to carry out the experiments individually with the teachers. Well-qualified and experienced teachers guide the students to explore the world of science through a meticulously planned schedule of practical classes. Moreover, the safety of every child while handling the chemicals and instruments is duly taken care off.

We have a well equipped medical room in MDL to provide necessary first aid to the students in time of emergency. An annual health check up including dental and eye check-up by specialists is a regular feature along with maintaining medical record of each and every child. Health advisory on prevention of various illnesses like swine flu, dengue, chicken pox, etc. is also a regular feature.

MDL cares for each and every child. We never compromise with the security of the students. Bearing in mind the security aspect, RFID cards, i.e. Radio Frequency Identification Cards are provided to each and every child that help us to track where the student is. RFID cards not only solve the problems but also effectively manage the student attendance.

The school integrates Information and Communication technology into the curriculum, and thus provides the latest resources in this field. The school’s computer and communication network provides state-of-the-art computing facilities. The school has a fully equipped Computer Labs with many computers. The students from classes Pre-Nursery to VIII have unlimited but monitored access to computers equipped with latest software. Children who have a flair for computers and are keen to learn more are encouraged to opt for Computer Activity classes where they learn “how to design their own games” using latest software.

We, at MDL always want that our students run with the fast-moving world with continuous improvement in technologies and new innovations and ensure that proper platform is provided to the students to enrich their learning. From past few years, MDL provides Robotics classes so that students can connect to several disciplines i.e. mechanical, electrical, electronic and programming skills. We provide equipment to students to enable them to explore and create some new innovations with their knowledge and creative minds. Robotics has become a catalyst for inspiring and motivating students to learn more about science and technology.

The School Library offers range of Resources to the students. These resources are provided to cater the specific academic needs of the students. The Library has a well selected collection of Books, Journals, Periodicals and Newspapers. Encyclopedia’s, journals, reference books and fiction is made available to all students. New additions are constantly made in order to keep the library abreast of the latest. It has rich collection to strengthen the undergoing courses in school. Books related to different major disciplines are also available in the Library.

We, at MDL,strive for our students to become more focussed and determined. We provide Abacus classes to the students to improve their concentration level and overall ability. Abacus is an attractive visual tool that helps the learner to build their arithmetic and cognitive skills in a fun way.

British Council Continuing Professional Development In continuation, we will go ahead for International School Award where we will work with international partners on a range of projects, sustaining activity throughout the academic year, and embedding international learning across the whole school and curriculum. The British Council provides continuous professional developments opportunities for teachers and leaders by way of workshops, events and trainings. These are organised both face-to-face and online. As a part of curriculum regular communication skills classes are conducted for the students.A classroom environment relies heavily on the quality of communication taking place within it. As an instructor, taking steps towards improving the communication skills of the students will contribute positively towards classroom climate. Students with effective communication skills will be more likely to contribute to class discussions, will be more productive members in group projects, and will ultimately gain more from their experience in class. Students will be provided Students issue of the leading daily Newspaper, Hindustan Times, to inculcate habit of reading and make students aware of Current Affairs around the world to reaffirm our commitment of continuing with our mission of bringing the world into the classroom via the powerful medium of the newspaper supported by a gamut of activities, events, workshops and curriculum modules. HT PACE Edition, a daily eight page student edition with greater focus on science, technology, environment, and sports. The paper has comprehensive coverage, colourful pictures and news that interests the youth. It is , the immensely popular weekly supplement gives students a forum to express their creative potential and also provides them an opportunity to win prizes every week.
